Lava Tubes of Snow Canyon

These deep, cramped holes in the surrounding lava fields are difficult to enter, to exit and are extremely dark. Be warned. Follow the safety rules to be sure you survive the encounter with a minimum of scratches and bruises. Snow Canyon is a state park located in St. George Utah, with extensive lava fields and beautiful red canyons. Don’t let that fool you . They can be hazardous. Warning signs posted at the entrance to the holes give you some advice on how much water you should take , flashlights, extra batteries, rope, and most of all go with at least three people. Going alone just means no one will find you if you get stuck, fall or get injured.
